The Australian's fifth annual The List: Top 100 Innovators, edited by technology editor Jared Lynch, profiles the country's most pioneering people and companies. Keoki Alexander-Chang appears in the Software, Technology and AI section.
The profile traces his path from Deloitte's forensic artificial intelligence team, where royal commissions into financial advice and aged care exposed him to the growing gap between the demand for quality care and the capacity to provide it, to founding Minikai. It notes the company's per-client rather than per-user pricing, its person-centred model, and a lean team of six engineers backed by a $2.5 million seed round from Tidal Ventures.
“We saw a common thread where you have these providers that are full of people who are really dedicated, and they've made a long-term commitment to people with really complex needs, but they're just inundated with the complexity and volume of paperwork,” Keoki told The Australian.
